A cat named Bunny was recently the victim of
horrific torture in Lexington, Kentucky.
The sweet kitty was brought into a veterinarian's office with the most grotesque injuries imaginable.
She was missing the tips of both of her ears, and teeth marks made it clear that a person had literally chewed them off.Not only that, but she had two broken legs. And devastatingly, she was pregnant.
Sign the petition to demand justice for sweet Bunny the cat!Vets worked hard to get Bunny comfortable and healthy, and luckily she is expected to make a full recovery -- even though it will be a long, hard journey. As with so many victims of animal abuse, rescuers say that Bunny is still as sweet and trusting as can be.
But just because Bunny will be okay doesn't mean this story can end --
we must hold whoever tortured this poor cat accountable.Apparently, the man who is accused of abusing Bunny is associated with other instances of hurting cats -- in fact, the same rescue who is helping Bunny noted that two other cats were strangled or suffocated in his care.
This man clearly will not stop hurting or killing cats until something is done. Cats, other animals, and even other people are in danger.
As a part of this man's sentencing, we demand a complete and total ban on animal ownership or cohabitation as well as mandatory mental health counseling. Jail time or fines is simply not enough. Sign the petition to stop Bunny's abuser from hurting more animals!
