SAVE THE CAP WORLD MURAL

Cap World on RT1 in Saugus MA commissioned a local artist, Phillip Coleman to paint a mural on the face of ugly building to beautify the area and pay homage to the history and unique landmarks of the area. Even though the mural had no mention of Cap World, nothing that "advertised, announced or directed" anything, which is the towns definition of a sign, the building inspector disagreed and ordered this beautiful public art to be destroyed.
