I want Fathers to have equal rights to their children

Ok so I live in Tn where the laws are ancient. Because my girlfriend and I aren't married I have zero rights to my child other than what she gives me. Even though my son is why I breathe I am at her discretion over everything and want to be consulted in the decision making surrounding his future and as an active participant in his life and his Father I believe I should be.
