Stop hostile protests outside abortion clinics now!
I am a pro-life young woman, who believes every human life deserves protection, both the preborn child and the mother in crisis.
While the right to peacefully protest, pray and offer alternatives outside of abortion clinics needs to exist to preserve free speech and thought, we must reject tactics that involve yelling, intimidation or hostility toward women.
These behaviors harm vulnerable mothers, damage the credibility of the pro-life cause and are the very reason clinic escorts exist.
Unfortunately, even escorts sometimes fail women by denying them real alternatives or by preventing them from hearing about life-affirming options.
This leaves women trapped between hostility and dismissal, with no true compassion offered.
I believe the pro-life movement must rise above this.
Our presence must be marked by peace, compassion and truth, never by fear.
I call on leaders and members of the U.S. pro-life movement to:
•Publicly discourage hostile protests outside of clinics.
•Promote peaceful, compassionate outreach, including prayer and calm conversation.
•Hold ourselves accountable so that our presence always reflects the dignity of both mother and child.
If our mission is to defend life, we must defend it with love.
Women in crisis should see in us not judgment or intimidation, but hope, help and respect.
Together, let us build a pro-life witness that saves lives and restores trust.
