Bring back the Seymour Paraprofessionals

Effective December 21, 2017 all clerical paras were laid off district wide. This has impacted all schools. These paras were in charge of many responsitble, many of which some parents weren't even aware. These included answering phones, door security, lunch and recess monitoring, attendance, nurses office aids and much more. On a High School level they are also pivotal in the college application process. The remaining staff are amazing and doing what they can to make it work but there is just too much and our kids will suffer the consequences. We need to protect our children and their daily lives. Please sign and share this petition to bring back the paraprofessionals to Seymour! Please also join us at the BOE meeting this Monday at 7:30 at Seymour Middle School to make your voice heard!
