Silence No Child

As we approach the 400th anniversary of the arrival of the first men and women brought to our shores as slaves, Atlanta comes together ensure every child has a choice-filled life. Today, 63% of our children are in danger of not having choices, due to illiteracy.

Science tells us to teach our children to listen and to speak – rather than to silence them. The undersigned take a bold stand to teach children to listen, to listen to them rather than silence them, and to seek connections rather than demand compliance. With these actions, we lay the groundwork for literacy.
