The Jacksonville, Florida community has responded beautifully to yet another tragic instance of animal abuse.
A recent
vigil was held for Miracle, a sweet Great Dane who died after
veterinarians couldn't save him from the immense abuse he endured. Miracle was found curled up and
starving, severely underweight, dumped on the side of a local road. No dog deserves this kind of abuse. It's time that Miracle gets the justice he deserves.

photos of this case were so graphic that the shelter had to partially blur them before sharing them online. But even without the photos, the details from the case are harrowing enough: Miracle, also known as Oak, weighed barely 50 pounds at the time of his death. Healthy Great Danes of his age and size weigh over twice that amount.
For reference, another local Great Dane owner brought his healthy pup to the vigil. That sweet dog, George, weighs over 180 pounds.
Somehow, despite all of his suffering, Miracle began wagging his tail when he was found barely hanging on on the side of the road. Miracle deserves justice, and that means a lifetime ban on animal ownership for the perpetrator of this brutal abuse. Sign the petition now if you agree!
