Demand Justice for Brutally Tortured Mother Polar Bear

  • von: Ivan Zuev
  • empfänger: Yury Chaika, Prosecutor General of Russia

People in Russia and around the world have been shocked by the violent video posted on YouTube just before Christmas.

A mother polar bear and her baby were a common sight at a construction site on Wrangel Island in Russia where the workers often fed them. When the polar bears came into the camp for food one day in November, however, a worker from the construction site allegedly decided to put a firecracker in their meal. The mother polar bear ate the firecracker, and witnesses videotaped as she writhed in pain with blood gushing from her mouth.

Workers said that she was never aggressive or threatened the workers at the construction site. She actually seemed to trust the people who so brutally tortured her. I ask everybody to sign the petition to demand that the Prosecutor General of Russia investigate and bring charges against the person or people responsible for torturing this mother polar bear.
