Dear Mark Zuckerberg,
Facebook does not permit posts that include hate speech towards people and pictures that portray threat to human life but is ok with content that portrays abuse of animals and such pages as Cat Punching Day, I Hate Dogs and videos of a live animals being set on fire. People are upset with such content and report it but it's not taken down because it doesn't violate the community standards.
Animal hate pages need to be removed and blocked from Facebook. It is a proven fact that people that hate and harm animals eventually hate and harm humans. Children that learn to harm animals proceed to injuring people as well. These types of animal hate pages are dangerous to the animals, including the human kind.
We all want Facebook to be a safe place to everyone who uses it. Cruelty to animals is upsetting, to say the least. Therefore I ask you to consider voices of 10 000 people who signed the petition to request that animals be added to Facebooks safety policy as a non human persons.
