The latest outrage in the never-ending stream of revelations about the degenerate corruption of the Trump administration is focused on his Washington D.C. hotel, where diplomats from some of the world's most brutal regimes spent lavishly at the same time they were lobbying the White House.
The New York Times has discovered that, for instance, the authoritarian regime of Qatar spent $300,000 at the Trump Hotel in the weeks leading up to an important meeting with Trump; their fellow Middle Eastern autocracies in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates spent at least $164,000. Saudi Arabia was rewarded with a $1.3 billion arms sale.

The House Oversight Committee has previously estimated that Trump's hotel raked in more than $3.75 million from foreign governments from 2017 to 2020.
Spending $9,000 on "coffee breaks for diplomatic delegations" or $8,000 for "in-room lunches" would raise an eyebrow in any circumstances; knowing what we know about how Trump operated his now-defunct charitable foundation, it's obvious he was using his hotel as a personal bribery laundering service and using America's global position as a way to fill his pockets.
