Dr. Supratik Chakraborty Must Lose His Licence to Practice Medicine

Daniel Pelka was abused by his mother and step father from 2011 until he died in March 2012. He was starved, beaten and locked up in a tiny room with no heat or bathroom privileges. Dr. Chakraborty saw Daneil 3 weeks before his death. Daniel was emaciated with bruises on his body. Dr. Chakrabory believed Daniel's abusive mother that Daniel had worms and did not do any medical examinations or tests to verify his condition. He sent the boy home with tablets. He was this child's last hope. A child who is severly underweight with bruises on his body was just sent home. Three weeks later Daniel died. Since then many of us have been asking how could this happen? Well, thanks to doctors such as Dr. Chakraborty and other authorities who saw Daniel eating out of trash bins but did nothing to save him, that 's how. So people like Dr. Chakraborty should not practice medicine if they are not willing to help children in need. This was careless and selfish on part of Dr. Chakraborty who couldn't be bothered to look into Daniel's condition. Please sign as no child should be seen by this doctor again. He is a practicing pediatrician with Community Child Health in Coventry. Ironic and laughable and extremely sad. Please sign in Daniel's memory.

Dear Friend,

Today I kindly ask you to sign my petition which addresses the negligence of Dr. Chakraborty who saw emaciated and bruised Daniel Pelka 3 weeks before the boy's death and did nothing to look into his condition but sent him home with tablets for worms which Daniel did not even have. Doctors such as these should not be 'looking after children'. He even works for Community Child Health and has failed a child that was recommended to him by a concnerned shool staff. This doctor should have known better. Please act in Daniel's name and memory.

Many thanks and infinite blessings,

Renata O'Connor
