Stop the tax on e cigarettes

In May the Government are planning to Tax e cigarettes Liquids and restrict the amount you can buy at any one time. They are even thinking of stopping refill liquids and making them into cartridges. The reason for this is that they are losing revenue from people giving up smoking.
The price the liquids will be after tax will pretty much be the same as buying a packet of cigarettes. The hypocrisy of the government for telling us to give up smoking then taxing the one thing that has completely revolutionised quitting smoking is ridiculous. People are trying to be healthier and are now being punished for that choice.
There is no medical evidence as of yet as to e cigarettes being harmful so why on earth should they be taxed other than for the government to generate money that they can waste. There is also no evidence that it starts anyone smoking real cigarettes.
