Alfords Point Public School to be a 21st Century School

The students, teachers, parents and broader community of Alfords Point Public School seek the support of Ms Eleni Petinos and the NSW Government in approving the Alfords Point P&C application for a Community Building Partnership Grant 2017.
Our proposal seeks to purchase 21st Century Learning Furniture for Stage 1 (Years 1&2) classrooms at Alfords Point Public School to replace existing outdated and worn furniture.
The project will see the enhancement of school classrooms to facilitate collaborative learning through 21st Century Furniture that focuses on student-centered learning, empowering students and making them active participants in the learning process. This will include movable furniture, tools to facilitate group and project learning, and furniture design and arrangement that allows for both student-led and teacher-guided lessons.

Collaborative learning fosters growth in maturity and confidence on the parts of the students and will be the dominant model of education for the foreseeable future.
