Ask Brazil's Government to Support Union Workers!

Strikes and protests are breaking out in Brazil with less than a month to go before the World Cup. Tens of thousands of police officers, bus drivers, teachers, streetsweepers and their supporters are taking advantage of the World Cup's publicity to demonstrate against their low wages.

Demonstrators say that the government is spending billions of dollars on new stadiums while average citizens are struggling.

Currently, the World Cup city of Sao Paulo is a violent mess, with protests continuing and chaos and violence breaking out. Clearly, Brazil's citizens are outraged that a sporting event is getting more consideration than their own basic needs. Please sign the petition to urge Brazil's government to support their workers' rights to fair wages!

Currently, the World Cup city of Sao Paulo is a violent mess, with protests continuing and chaos and violence breaking out. Clearly, Brazil's citizens are outraged that a sporting event is getting more consideration than their own basic needs. We respectfully urge you to address your workers' concerns in regards to fair wages, and put your citizens' needs above a sporting event! Thank you for taking the time to read and consider our petition.
