End Horse Slaughter!

We, as Americans, should take a vested interest in the latest legislation that will enable horse slaughter plants to once again operate here in the US. It's been said that the greatness of society is a direct reflection of how its people treat their animals. In the case of horse slaughter, this rings very true. There is nothing humane about slaughtering a horse. The other fact is that America's horses are being cruelly transported to other countries for this practice, all to fuel a foreign market for horse meat; meat that is otherwise unfit for human consumption due to the veterinary medicines used in them.
We decided to put the horse in it's place in society for a reason; it's up to us to ensure they get humane treatment and respect.
