Her 'Rescue' Business Was a Front for Starving Dogs, With Around 100 Animals Estimated Dead

In Texas, a woman claimed to be running a rescue operation for dogs in need. Instead, authorities discovered that she was starving them to death and burying them around her property.

Luckily, authorities have intervened. She has already been arrested and charged with animal cruelty. But the extent of her deception proves something deeper is going on. She needs immediate and intensive mental health counseling to protect others in the future. Sign the petition!

Multiple people who had visited the Southeast Texas Paw Patrol rescue became suspicious and called authorities, urging them to investigate. When officials arrived at the home in early February 2026, it was immediately clear that the dogs were being mistreated. They arrested the woman but released her on a bond, requiring that she rehome the dogs within 3 weeks. However, instead of following these orders, she accumulated more dogs and continued starving all of them.

The home was filled with kennels piled on top of each other, without flooring between them. There was no food or water. Feces had piled up - in one case, overflowing in a crate that housed both a mama dog and her puppies. One person at the scene said the animals appeared to be "just waiting to die in [their] crate."

Outside, authorities found multiple bags, crates, and ice coolers filled with the decomposing remains of dead dogs, including bones and fur. Several zip log bags were filled with dead puppies. The woman's boyfriend admitted it was 'his job' to regularly bury the dogs.

Ultimately, authorities and legitimate, certified rescuers seized 84 living dogs from the property. Most were severely malnourished and required veterinary care. Officials estimated that the property was acting as a mass grave site for approximately 100 dead dogs. Authorities are calling this "the most horrific animal cruelty [case] in Tyler County history."

We're grateful that authorities intervened quickly after they received calls from concerned animal lovers. The woman has been charged and the courts are involved. But to really protect future animals, it's important to address whatever was going on under the surface. Sign the petition to demand that authorities mandate intensive mental health treatment!
