ABC: 18 Seasons Without an African-American 'Bachelor' is Unacceptable

The Bachelor has been a popular television series for 18 seasons. This season, the first Latino "Bachelor" debuts. While he's still blonde-haired and blue-eyed, this is at least a step in the right direction for minority inclusion.

ABC faced a class action suit, last year, led by two African-American men who auditioned and claimed they were treated unfairly based on race. The suit was eventually dismissed.

"They gotta include everybody, African Americans as well as Latinos of every coloration. And forget this b———- of 'We can't find any,'" Alex Nogales from the National Hispanic Media Coalition told NPR. "They're there!"

In 18 seasons of the show, there has never been an African-American bachelor. It's time to include African Americans in the show. Take action today and tell ABC that, as a fan, you want to see minorities included in the show. An African American should be the next "Bachelor."

Dear Sir and Madam,

We the undersigned believe it's time for an African-American "Bachelor."
