Ricky and Raymond Tison have been imprisoned since before their 20th birthday 37 years ago due to their fathers horrific murders at which they were present...under duress from him.They were engaged initially by their mother and father to simply free him from jail however they underestimated his cruelty having never lived with him and ended up fearing for their own lives.
Without regard for his children their father forced their elder brother through an armed check point where he was killed before abandoning his two younger sons. Later their father perished in the desert after murdering two families while on the run. The two boys(now in their late 50s) remain in jail neither killed anybody, neither premeditated the murders their father callously committed...their aim was to free their family to live peacefully as their parents advised.
Both recognise the horror their father committed and accept by naively getting him out of jail they unleashed an unknown element they'd never witnessed before....
While fully acknowledging the tragic loss of those murdered this petition aims to encourage some leniancy on behalf of the two teenagers that 37 years ago unwittingly and naively accepted their father as the great honourable family man helped him escape from prison and in a chaotic situation did not stop him due to the fear,duress and confusion they felt.
In consideration the two never fired weapons,the age of the two at the time,the duress from family,their acknowledgement of their wrong doing surely it's time for some small level of forgiveness to be shown towards them.
