Demand to limit information public records give out

Handing out public records is a violation of privacy and safety. Anyone can walk in and access these records, and the media can publish the information with no liability because it is "a public record". With the spread of social media, this can be a violation of safety as well. These records contain addresses, or block numbers, that are allowed to be posted on social media. That along with a full name can have dangerous people at a loved ones front door, because their record was handed to just anybody.
Many don't even have to leave their house anymore to get information. Almost guaranteed, if someone's personal information was posted in a newspaper (say due to an alleged crime), it will probably also be posted on social media where name, age, address, and alleged crime will be posted.
This is a violation of privacy, as well as a violation of safety and this needs to change. Protect your rights, yourself, your family members.
