This petition is to try to raise awareness to the situation and, ultimately, get Ray Perriello back into Shawsheen Regional Vocational Technical High School. They claim they do not have "the supports she needs". Shawshsen removed Ray from attending Shawsheen due to a MENTAL ILLNESS THAT SHE CAN NOT CONTROL. She participated, got decent grades, and showed up to school each day; yet they kicked her out. For these reasons which were denied a trade as she majored in Dental. It has come to my attention that this is UNACCEPTABLE on the behalf of the school board and child education laws. She has the rights to attend a school whether it meets her needs or not. Ray got into the Tech in the first place, meaning that she met all of the criteria. If needs cannot be met, seperate help such as resources and refrences should be given to the student and parents/guardians. Please let Ray Perriello attend Shawsheen Tech Billerica MA.
