Paducah Break Contract with Comcast

For as long as many can remember, the city of Paducah, Kentucky has had a contract with Comcast internet providers. Recently the city has signed a 10 year contract, meaning we as citizens of Paducah are limited in the options of internet we get. Comcast internet is used by so many people that the service you pay for is not what you get due to high volume usage. This petition is to have the city of Paducah break contract with Comcast and allow other internet providers to come in and offer services at better rates. Allowing other providers in the area not only provides competitive rates but faster internet speeds to help many local businesses and residents. The voting for this ten year contract was swept under the rug during the Paducah aquatic center meeting. We should either have a second more public vote, or break contract with Comcast. Comcast offers up to 200mbps whereas other internet providers offer up to 1gb+. Comcast does not show any support to its customers when issues are brought up, and when they do, the issue is not resolved. Please share this petition and sign sign sign away!!
