Save Our Community Camels

For the past 13 years, these camels have peacefully lived at their home in Henderson without any complaints or issues. They are well cared for and are considered domesticated livestock, much like other animals that are commonly permitted with proper oversight. Due to recent departmental changes and new interpretations of regulations, the owners are now being asked to obtain a conditional use permit to keep the camels they have responsibly cared for for over a decade. This petition asks the City of Henderson to recognize camels as domesticated animals and allow them to remain where they have safely lived for 13 years by approving the conditional use permit.
