Testosterone is the primary male hormone. It is absolutely needed for sexual development/functioning and also very important in maintaining muscle mass and strength over a male's lifetime, yet it is still illegal in the United States of America. Everyone in the U.S. is allowed to engage in some sort of dangerous behavior everyday...all the way from plastic surgery to rock climbing. Our country allows people to kill themselves through alcohol and tobacco. So, why is it that a natural hormone found within our own bodies is said to be dangerous? The main argument used for why these "drugs" are illegal is because the risk is higher than the benefit. But, when you look at the data this couldn't be farther from the truth. 40,000 deaths are caused by Aspirin and painkillers every year, yet these drugs are sold over the counter and completely legal. Deaths related to Anabolic Steroid use is zero. How would you feel if your hardworking husband or wife was thrown in prison simply over wanting to improve their body ( using anabolic substances )? Is that really right? Is that really what we consider a criminal in our society? It doesn't sound like one to me. We are said to be a democratic country. A democracy is a government in which all eligible citizens have an equal say in the decisions that affect their lives. So, PLEASE sign this petition and stand up for your rights. What you do in your spare time is no one's business, but your own. Let's take a stand and truly become a democratic country!
