Enact the Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Bill Today!

Sexual and gender-based violence are endemic in Swaziland. 1 in 3 girls is the victim of sexual violence before the age of 18 and 1 in 4 has experienced physical violence as a child. Making matters worse is the fact that the people responsible for these crimes face no consequences – they are consistently met with impunity. This must end! Current laws must be reformed to ensure that violence, in all its forms, is prevented and its impact minimised.

For Swazis to be able to lead lives free from the scourge of violence, the government must enact the Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Bill of 2015 today!
