Ban "Tail Docking" of Farm Animals

Tail docking, (also called tail banding), is the cruel and unnessary proceedure practiced on farm animals- such as cows, sheep and pigs. The animals tail is cut off- exposing nerves and tailbones with no pain relief- or, a rubber band is wrapped tightly on the tail until the blood supply is stopped and the tail atrophies and falls off.

Tail docking of cattle is considered so cruel it is prohibited in California and Ohio and condemned by animal welfare experts worldwide, including the American and Canadian Veterinary Medical Associations.

We ask The USDA to ban this cruel and  unnecessary practice nationwide.
