Reclaim The Republic

Article IV, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution declares that “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government” (italics added for emphasis).

Many U.S. citizens today propogate that we belong to a democracy, and as a result have began to act accordingly. The problem with this notion is that we have created the unintended consequence of giving a “democracy-like” political effort to a “Republic-like” task — our form of government requires a much more involved citizenry than the instability of pure democracy!! Read that again!

To rejuvenate our power in politics and Reclaim the Republic we are going to have to do more than we have done up to this point in time. We must be involved beyond a basic “knowingness” of the days affairs. It is no longer enough to simply read and share political, economic, religious, and socio-cultural happenings; they are a wealth of information to which we should turn public debate!
