The Second Amendment

Guns. In 30 states you can own a gun underaged. My own cousin was murdered by gun violence. And there have been 24 school shootings this year, 16 since August 1. There have been 82 school shootings since 2018. This all comes down to one thing. The second amendment. “The right to bear arms”. People use weapons for protection but if we didn’t have the weapons we wouldn’t need to be protecting ourselves from anything.
This amendment needs to be changed because America is rotting. People are being murdered left and right and it’s hard to stop even with the consequences that are given. There are over 200,000 unsolved murders in America. If we get rid of the guns and maybe only allow the authorities to possess such things, maybe gun violence would go down. We wouldn’t necessarily have to protect ourselves from anything if nobody has such a weapon.
If we take away this amendment we wouldn’t have to worry about such things in life. We wouldn’t have to worry about gun violence because there are no guns for people to use. For hunting people that hunt, those people could use bows and arrows just like the Native Americans used.
