Re -Defining, "DIVERSITY"

We want to increase the shared meaning about returning citizens, specifically of non violent crimes, by utilizing education as a healing and healthy path to citizenship. Academic and vocational education is known to reduce recidivism. It is time to remove the box from the college common application. The question of one's criminal background/the ‘box’ is a method used by the criminal justice system to further criminalizes the African American community. The question/box signifies profiling, limited access and abuse. It is time to re-define, "DIVERSITY" by doing a way with the stereotypes about returning citizens in higher education. Quality Education is a Human Right
