Push back the legal age to purchase firearms and protect our schools!

There have been multiple accounts of shootings to happen in the past year and it is only February. I can see this getting much worse through the rest of the year. The legal age for an individual to purchase tobacco or liquor is 21, so then why is the purchase of a firearm 18? I propose that we push the legal age to purchase a firearm back to 25 at least. I say 25 because 21 is the experimental college age where you are just beginning to drink, having people running around with a legal firearm at the age of their first drink seems like it would be just as dangerous as if we gave a 14 year old a gun and said, "Have fun." If we pushed the age to 25 we wouldn't have to worry about as many school shootings or as many drunkards running about with a firearm putting themselves as well as others in danger.
