Can Air Conditioner be a alternative to climate changes

The climate change in various places are changing rapidly and we people are adjusting to it without having concern about it. Places are getting hot and all we do is fix an Air conditioner as an alternative without solving the actual problem. There should be work done to balance the climate change keeping in mind that just by planting trees the problem cannot be solved.
