Stand up for survivors of sexual assault and demand on campus advocacy !!

One in 5 women and one in 16 men are sexually assaulted while in college. More than 90% of sexual assault victims on college campuses do not report the assault. Currently many campuses have appointed a Title IX representative to support sexual assault victims. Title IX has been able to provide limited support and H.R.3734 - SOS Campus Act bill identifies the need for additional supports by an experienced independent advocate on each campus and services that are available 24/7. The bill encourages support from community sexual assault centers along with education and workshops on sexual assault. The NASW Code of Ethics that promotes this petition is 1.01 Commitment to Clients. by EMPOWERING student survivors of sexual assault with information, healthcare, and support.. The bill will provide the student with 24/7 access to experienced advocate who has one responsibility and that is a commitment to advocate for the survivors of sexual assault.
