VETO SB469 - Big Oil, fix the coast you broke!

On the brink of hurricane season, now, more than ever, we need the protection of our coastal wetlands. Our wetlands are eroding at an alarming rate - a football field an hour - and the role of oil and gas canals in the degradation of our marshes is undisputable.

SB469 kills a lawsuit filed by the flood authority, a lawsuit that attempts to hold oil and gas responsible for the coast it broke, and asserts that Big Oil is above the law.

Governor Jindal, the American taxpayers CANNOT and SHOULD NOT pick up the tab for the mess created by oil and gas.

Do not permit the Big Oil Bailout.
