Ban Cruel M-44 Cyanide Bombs for Once and All!

M-44 devices are supposed to protect livestock by luring wild animals with bait, then releasing sodium cyanide into their mouths, killing them. These devices inhumanely and indiscriminately kill thousands of animals every year, and have injured people. M-44 devices do not discriminate - they have killed beloved pets as well as non-target animals such as raccoons, foxes, skunks and opossums.

Reauthorizing these devices was a big mistake. The general public overwhelmingly opposes deploying M-44s, and for very good reasons. They are a threat to the environment as well as to animals both wild and domesticated. The EPA needs to return to its actual purpose and outlaw these deadly devices for once and all.
