Demand that the Center for Medicaid services keep paying for facility based services for the mentally and physically handicapped.

A mandate went into effect on Jan. 16%2C2014 concerning HCBS waivers services. The final ruling says they will not pay for facility based day services for the intellectually disabled. Our loved ones are being forced to seek employment in the community%2C even tho most cannot be employed. So some one like my daughter who is blind%2C and has mental level of a seven year old has to try and seek employment in our community even tho she does not understand what employment means. Day programs are the life line for parents like me and my daughter. The mandate is very clear and will not pay for a day program. This is a one size fits all law. Tell the U.S Senate to repeal this law%2C and let our mentally handicapped love ones keep their day programs. This is a federal mandate and effects all states.
