This petition is to Stop Human Trafficking and Punish the Traffickers! Human trafficking is tied as the second largest criminal industry in the world with illegal arms. Human trafficking is the buying and selling of a human person for forced labor, sexual use, and other illegal activites. The poor are the ones mostly targeted because they are vulnerable and opressed. Over one million people are trafficked a year. Over twenty-seven million have been trafficked throughout the years. Eighty percent of human trafficking occurs to women and children. Fifty percent are children under the age of eightteen. Trafficking protection law has been signed since January of 2006.
