Stop Increased Cruelty On Chicken Production Lines!

The National Chicken Council is trying to get the USDA to allow them to slaughter chickens faster. Moving faster along the already inhumane production line would only cause more suffering for these innocent animals. 

There is a public comment period where we can tell the USDA not to make this change. Sign the petition and make a comment!

Right now chicken farms can slaughter 140 chickens in a minute. The fact that they want to increase that is not only greedy, but will also result in sloppier processes. Also known as: more birds actually feeling more pain. This increase in speed can mean lazy shackling, which will result in some birds dying by drowning in scalding water instead of by throat slitting as intended. 

This is already an inhumane industry and we can't let it get any worse.
