There was a very legitimate issue for the law being passed in 1968 that any desecration of the American Flag be a Federal Offense......why it was all of a sudden amended on June 11, 1990 is absurd. It should be a Federal Offense with a very stiff penalty. It's hard enough watching foreign countries desecrate it due to their hate for us but for our own citizens to disrespect those who lost their lives defending it is outrageous to me.
