Save Free Food Stand from Eviction!

Dennis "Tree" Rubenstein has lived in his neighborhood since 1974. Dennis is on a mission to teach people of all ages where food comes from while giving away free, organic food.

He started the Free Food Stand at a local San Francisco park in 2008. But now, because of merely four complaints in the last four years, park officials are trying to shut the Free Food Stand down!

This resource is cherished by its community. It provides a source of education, helps the community come together, and does the obvious: give away free food.

Dennis never intended to do harm to anyone. He simply wants to do the right thing and give back to his community. Why should he be penalized for that?

Access to organic food should be available to everyone. Dennis' Free Food Stand does just that and a whole lot more. Support the Free Food Stand and fight for their presence in the park!
Dear Connie Chan,

The Free Food Stand of Parque Ninos Unidos is an invaluable resource to its community.

Removing the park would do more than just remove a place to get free food. It would remove the bonding that comes through community building. It would remove the educational lessons learned about organic foods. It would remove the awareness of the hunger problem and ways that individals can help solve it.

Evicting the Free Food Stand would be removing an entity of priceless lessons waiting to be learned. Dennis Rubenstein loves his community to his core. Do not punish him for that. I urge you to keep the Free Food Stand alive and running at Parque Ninos Unidos.
