Stop Catastrophic Cuts to Foreign Assistance

When children are at their most vulnerable, foreign assistance offers food, water, health care and safe shelter – all the tools their families need to recover in times of crisis.

But the administration's latest budget proposal calls for MASSIVE funding cuts.

Kids can't afford to lose any more lifesaving support. Already, 213 million children worldwide need humanitarian assistance just to survive.

Please, urge Congress to say NO to eliminating these critical programs – because foreign assistance builds a stronger, safer world for us all.

Foreign aid reflects American values, reinforces our role as a global leader and creates a stronger, safer future for us all. But the recent program terminations and the proposed 83% funding cut threatens to take away this vital tool.

I urge you to maintain foreign assistance funding at the FY25 levels passed by both chambers and signed into law by President Trump in March.

213 million children worldwide need humanitarian support to survive. In times of crisis, these programs provide food, water, shelter and protection – even reuniting families separated by conflict. Development assistance is also essential, giving families a chance to thrive long-term with enough food to eat, access to health care and the ability to send their kids to school.

Studies show that foreign aid is incredibly cost-effective, too. For example, every $1 spent on vaccines yields $54 in reduced health costs, increased productivity and other benefits!

On behalf of children in the United States and across the globe, I ask you to support lifesaving foreign assistance in the FY26 appropriations process.

Thank you for helping kids build brighter futures!
