Repeal Workers' Compensation Law

We, the undersigned residents and employees of the State of Florida, believe that the Workers' Compensation costs to the states' employers have become oppressive and are forcing businesses to leave Florida or not locate in this state. We also believe that those employers that remain have no real incentive to provide safe workplaces for their employees. As employees, we are unhappy with the benefits provided and the poor medical care that has become part of the system.
We petition the Governor to support repeal of Ch. 440 Florida Statutes, the Workers' Compensation Law, to reduce to 'zero' the cost of coverage while at the same time providing a real incentive to employers to operate safe workplaces and prevent injury to their employees
