Senator Gardner's weak environmental record proves that he continues to fail to protect Colorado's environment — despite his claims to the contrary. He isn't supporting legislation that will protect hundreds of thousands of acres of public lands in Colorado and he recently voted to confirm David Bernhardt - a formal coal lobbyist - as Secretary of the Interior.

Senator Gardner likes to talk about protecting public lands for future generations, but his actions put the public lands we love at risk. Gardner's actions are wildly out of step with the Colorado way of life. As a Coloradan, I expect more from my senator.
