Support Critical Animal Rescue Work
Whether it's because of a natural disaster or the cruelty of humans, animals often get left in horrifying conditions. In these cases, we rely on the kindness of groups like American Humane Association's Red Star Animal Emergency Services to give these animals the chance they deserve. In 2010, Red Star rescued and cared for hundreds of animals:
- Ninety-five dogs were rescued from the heartbreaking conditions of a puppy mill in Mississippi.
- One hundred and sixteen horses, mules and miniature horses were found on a small lot in Arkansas, barely surviving without food or water, likely for months. All of the horses were rescued, immediately examined, and treated.
- In the summer, they participated in the rescue of 387 malnourished cats and kittens from overcrowded and unsanitary conditions in St. Marys, Pa.
These heroic people need our support and encouragement. Please sign this pledge to tell them how much you appreciate their work.
