The Fairview Avenue pedestrian crossing at Bohland Avenue is used as the most direct walking route to Highland Catholic school by students, to Highland Catholic church by neighborhood families, to the Hillcrest library, recreation center, ballfields and sledding hill by children and families, and for general access to and from Highland Village. A safer pedestrian crossing with signage and/or pedestrian-activated crossing lights is needed at the crossing to help improve pedestrian safety.
We, the undersigned, are concerned St. Paul citizens who urge our the City of St. Paul to act now to put in place a safer pedestrian crossing at Bohland and Fairview Avenues.
