When she immigrated from Azerbaijan to the United States to realize her dreams, she faced a harsh reality.  Even though she was working two jobs and sharing living quarters with six roommates, Joy struggled to get by. She saved every penny just to have enough food each day.

Fortunately, a friend referred Joy to JVS SoCal. When she learned that JVS SoCal offered no-cost help to pursue her dream of a nursing career, Joy shed happy tears. "After facing so many struggles, JVS SoCal gave me the happiest moment," Joy recalls.
