Hey Guy and the "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives" team... We are the loyal fans - spread out all over the globe - of a restaurant that has cooked for Justin Timberlake and Rev. Al Green! The Shelby Forest General Store just 15 minutes outside Memphis, TN in Millington. Media Links are at the bottom.

It has been featured multiple times on local television, Mike Huckabee’s TBN show, as well as multiple shout-outs from Justin Timberlake onstage and on the Grammys. It MUST be on "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives"!!

Justin even placed one of four signed albums of his “20/20” release as a part of his pre-release “national scavenger hunt” in the dining room. Doug & The General Store are also featured on a promo video for the Tennessee Visitor and Convention Bureau.

The General Store was built in 1934 by my grandparents – Emmett and Dixie Jeter – and is now run in the same way with the same sloping wooden floors by Doug and Kristin Ammons where “The Past is Our Present to You”! Doug is a great character and perfect for TV.

It is just the perfect example of how a Diner, Drive-In, & Dive can be so much more than a place to get a meal – it can be the heartbeat of a community. That is what the General Store is!

The food is wonderful coming off a grill with “60 years of flavor”! From the World Famous Cheeseburgers known to be Justin’s favorites to Steak Night every Friday – bellies get filled and so do the hearts of people!

I am sure you get many pitches but I want to say that if you will take a look the heart and soul of what goes on here will be CAPTIVATING!! We are great friends with the Ammons and I know that Guy would love the heart and soul of the Shelby Forest General Store!
