Senator Comrie, Address the growing homeless situation in front of the schools at 193-04 Jamaica Ave.

Senator Comrie, a homeless hotspot has been developing at 193-04 Jamaica Ave over the past year. There are more than one homeless persons occupying the bus stop and the area around the Committee for Early Childhood Development Head Start program. One individual in particular who has mental health issues has been using the bus shelter as a bathroom and trash can. His behavior is erratic and one community member reported being attacked by him.

Our community is concerned for the health and safety of the children and families who walk to two school sites at this corner. Repeated calls to 911, 311, and Homeless Services have been ineffective. Please take action to provide assistance to these homeless individuals and protect the health and safety of the families of our community.
