Jeassea Thyidor was voted out. The biggest shocker for Singapore Idol yet. Many of us was expecting Jerry Ong to be voted out but the result proved otherwise.
Some of the speculations why Jeassea got the kick:
1. She is not a 100% Singaporean. Her Canadian nationality was a good reason for her exit. I dont think so because if she really got voted out due to her nationality, why vote for her in to the Top 11 right from the start?
2. She did not get enough votes as viewers were passive. Not many voted for her because the voters felt that since shes an impressive singer hence she would definitely garner enough votes for her to go through. Having realised what happened during the Round 3 Piano Show, it was not possible that history could have repeated itself to produce such an outcome.
3. She, like Beverly Morata, lacked the connection with the viewers and voters. Says who? If thats the case, why are we petitioning for her return then?
Jeassea, we felt very sorry for such an unfair outcome of the result. We are now bringing justice to where it should rightfully belong.
As you can see, the speculations (which might be true) are just plain nonsense and cannot justify why Jeassea should go. No matter what happened, I dont see why at any point Jeassea should leave.
