Don't Let Children Go Hungry While Billionaires Get Tax Breaks

The U.S. House of Representatives is considering massive cuts to the Women, Infants, and Children (W.I.C.) program that helps keep the most vulnerable among us from going hungry.

W.I.C. plays a vital role in keeping at-risk mothers and their children from going hungry. Cuts to this program will have devastating and lasting effects on the future of America's youth.

Without proper nutrition, children fall behind in school, face increased risk of health complications, and are less likely to grow up to lead healthy, successful lives. In supporting these funding cuts, Speaker of the House John Boehner is selling out our children in favor of lining the pockets of big corporations.

Companies making billions should not be getting tax breaks while children and mothers are struggling to keep food on the table. Tell Speaker Boehner that we can't afford to let our children go hungry while millionaires and billionaires get tax cuts!
Dear Speaker Boehner:

I am astonished to hear you have supported cuts to the Women, Infants, and Children program. W.I.C. plays a vital role in keeping at risk mothers and their children from going hungry. Cuts to this program will have devastating and lasting effects on the future of America's youth.

Without proper nutrition, children fall behind in school, face increased risk of health complications, and are less likely to grow up to lead healthy, successful lives.

Even worse, you support these cuts at the same time you and many of your colleagues are pushing for massive tax cuts for corporations, millionaires, and billionaires. Companies making billions should not be getting tax breaks while children and mothers are struggling to keep food on the table.

Please, prioritize funding for vital programs like W.I.C.
