Tell the Interior Department to Listen to the West and Protect Our Western Way of Life and Wildlife

Hundreds of thousands of Americans already spoke out in support of Western wildlife, but Washington continues to play politics while the Greater sage-grouse, mule deer, elk, pronghorn, burrowing owls, golden eagles, and other wildlife are in danger of losing their habitat.

One of our country's most precious landscapes and its largest remaining ecosystem, the sagebrush steppe, is at risk. In 2015, governors, friends of wildlife, sportsmen and women, and all who love the outdoors came together to develop plans to conserve the sagebrush country. Now, the Department of the Interior is trying to undo those commonsense plans.

It's not too late to act: Tell Secretary Zinke to give the 2015 sage-grouse conservation plans a chance to work.

Secretary Zinke,

The West has spoken.

Hundreds of thousands of Americans have made it clear: it's time to protect the bird and the herd. The collaborative sage-grouse plans protect big game species and keep our public lands open and working.

The people have spoken. We cannot sit by while the greater sage-grouse, mule deer, elk, pronghorn, burrowing owls, golden eagles, and other wildlife are in danger of losing their habitat.

Stand with Westerners and give the sage-grouse plans a chance to work.
