We first met Duffy on a frigid February day in an Arkansas puppy mill. He was slumped on the floor of a dark and dingy room. His fur was matted, and he was unable to walk. He was slowly dying from cruelty and neglect. That day, The HSUS Animal Rescue Team saved 57 innocent animals (including Duffy) from a life of unspeakable misery.
Today, despite how his story began, Duffy is living in a home filled with the compassion he so craved when he reached a paw out to his rescuers. This sweet dog is just one of the thousands of animals cared for by The HSUS each year.
